"Our selling agents Thorntons, Google searches and our website. Recent press advertising by Bield has also proved positive. Glasgow, Perthshire, Inverness-shire and Fife itself is where most of our enquires come from, including people with local knowledge and 'friends of friends'."

Would you downsize to St Andrews?

"Would I buy one? Absolutely. They are such beautiful apartments and the location offers quietness with the added benefit of being only a short walk from all the amenities of the town.

"St Andrews is the ‘Home of Golf’, benefiting from not only world-renowned championship golf courses but also beautiful beaches, the Botanic Garden, Byre Theatre, a leisure centre, restaurants and hotels. On top of that, there are many wonderful walks right on the doorstep."

"St Andrews is a world-famous town where property prices are premium. The apartments at The Walled Gardens are purchased under the “Shared Ownership” scheme.

"Shared Ownership enables buyers to only pay for 75% of the property value, which can help those who may not be able to afford the full price, to purchase a luxury apartment. Alternatively, for those downsizing, it allows the owner to retain their money and choose how they use it. After one year, the owner has the choice of purchasing the remaining 25%, or indeed, remain as they are. It is their decision to make.
